While driving down a concave road at night in the pitch dark…  A huge beam of light appears from the pit  far away.. Sometimes you are so lonely on the road that you hope for something more than just car headlights.

I hoped for a meteor tonight..

Even though this statement is far fetched,  I must be under the spell of the documentary I watched yesterday called the ‘Wonders of the Solar System’..  I was amazed by the story of Mercury.. It is doomed to destruction.. How it has nothing protecting it from falling meteors.. They strike the ground at full speed.. Intact.. Whereas we have our atmosphere… Slowing meteors down and breaking them up.. And we go fetch the little debris left behind..

Just for a change I wanted the light to be coming from a source of heat, speed and nature.. This made me wander about if the light at the end of the tunnel is really the kind of light I want.. Or if it is just something that we naturally settle for.. I had to settle for the light coming from the opposite car..

On the topic of Mercury, it is a planet that on every hit, it forcefully encompasses permanent marks.. .. Circles of impacts inside impacts.. Sounds like being hurt numerously by the same source.. Sounds like some of life’s events..
